I decided to do the Climb For Kids this year for several reasons. I have been blessed with 4 healthy children and it can be a struggle sometimes. I look at parents who have children with disabilities and I am just amazed at their strength, courage, love and patience. I'm not quite sure where they find the energy. I have also been blessed to meet some pretty incredible, highly motivated and successful adults with disabilities and I wonder what is holding ME back?
This climb will represent to me something way outside my comfort zone, as well as the biggest physical, mental and spiritual challenge I have yet to face. It is also an opportunity of a lifetime. My kids are supportive. My friends think I'm crazy. I just know I'm supposed to do it. I am most excited about raising funds for an organization that gives tirelessly to children with disabilities in need of services and programs to help them live the life they are supposed to.
I would love it if you would join me on the mountain by giving to Easter Seals. I am also a little competitive and as the only female climber, I would like to raise more funds than the guys.
My personal goal is $21,000 in honor of Century 21. If each of my Facebook Friends gave $10, I would exceed my goal! Thank you for your belief in me and I will keep you posted on my training progress.
