Jill, Jessica, and Kate are running for Easterseals NH!
Jill FitzGerald, LICSW has worked in the non-profit world for over 16 years, with the last 3 years at Easterseals New Hampshire as the Senior Director of Clinical Services for Community Based Services, overseeing behavioral health services for adults statewide. Jill started running in 2015, ran her first marathon in 2016, and was accepted to run in the Chicago Marathon on October 8, 2017. Jill is looking forward to running and raising money for Easterseals New Hampshire's Community Based Services. Two of Jill's running buddies, Jessica and Kate, will also be running in support of Easterseals NH!
Jessica Greenwood began running in 2013. She learned the phrase "we run for those who cannot" and she has had the pleasure of sharing the gift of running with many amazing people. Running is her outlet. She has chosen to run for Easterseals NH mental health services because "Sadly, when mental illness is perpetuated and not treated, that person doesn't live a full life. They may never realize their dreams, they may hide from the greatness that awaits them, and most extreme but not uncommon, is that they may decide that ending their own life is a viable option. I believe in people. I believe people have a greatness inside of them and each and every person deserves to realize this greatness." The Chicago Marathon will be her 16th marathon, and she is dedicating her training and race to raising awareness for mental health.
Kate Ledoux started running after having her first child, and has been hooked ever since. Kate is a high school Mental Health Counselor in NH, and therefore is keenly aware of the need for increased supports for those dealing with a mental health diagnosis. Chicago will be Kate's 3rd marathon, and she is looking forward to supporting Easterseals NH by running for funding for mental health services in our state.
