Walking for my Granddaughter Avery
Why am I walking?
I am waling because my Granddaughter Avery attends and Easter Seals School. She receives many therapies from them and they help her a great deal. She has achieved many milestones due to the support and help she gets from Easter Seals staff. Please consider donating to help me reach my goal of $2000.00 . No donation is too big or too small. Please consider walking with us at Kennywood Park. Thank you.
At a year and a half, Avery was diagnosed with Trisomy 12p, a rare genetic condition. Avery is non-speaking, has global developmental delays, intellectual disability, autism, and other medical diagnoses. She began attending Easterseals at age 3 in August 2021. She has made so much growth while there. Avery loves going to school. She smiles at her classmates and teachers upon arrival and knows her daily routine well. She enjoys music time, using the interactive funtronic projector, swinging, and various sensory experiences. Since attending Easterseals, Avery is better able to attend to activities and has blossomed socially.
Avery requires special education and multiple therapies at school as well as lifelong care. In the future, Easterseals can provide Avery and our family with many supports including recreational supports, adult services, and family supports.
But the demand for their services is increasing, as more children and adults and their families need Easterseals help every day.
No donation is too big or too small. Please help me reach my goal.of $2000.00
I am excited to participate in Easterseals Walk With Me because I want to spread hope and raise funds to help individuals and families living with disabilities.
Easterseals provides life-changing services that help people of all ages live better lives. For example, they help young children learn to walk and talk and get ready for school. They provide job training for adults, and support for families taking care of loved ones with disabilities. And, they assist older adults in learning skills to help them live as independently as possible as they grow older.
But the demand for their services is increasing, as more children and adults and their families need Easterseals help every day.
Why I need your support
I'm committed to making a positive difference and I know how important Easterseals is to our entire community. But I can't do it alone.
Please make a donation and help me reach my fundraising goal!
It's a step we can take together to provide much needed support to children and adults living with disabilities.
I trust Easterseals as a fiscally-responsible organization because every dollar we raise benefits local Easterseals clients right here in the community.
