Meet Our Ambassador, SaraWhen I was 10 months old my family was directed to an Easter Seals Center in Illinois where we lived at the time. They provided evaluation and therapy services for birth to three year olds. Since then I have attended recreational and vocational programs through Easter Seals. My local park and recreation department had several programs that I attended growing up. I still have friends that I met at these programs. They took us on outings and I got to go out in the community with my friends. I go to an Easter Seals camp in summer and I love my vacations! I currently attend the local Easter Seals vocational development center and I am learning about jobs and work in the community. The demand for Easter Seals services is increasing, as more children and adults and their families need Easter Seals help every day. I feel lucky I have had so many opportunities and Easter Seals has been there as I grew up. I want to make a positive difference and I know how important Easter Seals is to our entire community. I want other families to have these opportunities. But I can’t do it alone. You can help today by forming a Walk team, recruiting walkers and raising funds for other families that need Easter Seals. Thank you, Sara. |
