In the fall of 2003, the City of Montgomery completed the construction of the first phase of the Montgomery Riverwalk with the opening of the Riverwalk Amphitheatre. This venue which is accompanied by a pergola, splash pad, and green space is designed to accommodate a multitude of events that showcases one of the City’s most beautiful natural resources the Alabama River. Under the leadership of Mayor Bobby Bright, the Amphitheatre has grown over a short period of time to become one of the community’s showcase venues. It is a cornerstone of Mayor Bright and the City’s continued attention to completing the Riverfront and Downtown master plans.
